West Marine has moved its Seattle store to a larger location with more than 24,000 square feet of space to better serve the area’s sailors and anglers. Some of the store’s new offerings include an expanded, advanced selection of electronics and marine sound, a new bait service center and the retailer’s largest rig store in the fleet. The flagship will also be a regional hub for West Marine Pro, the wholesale business that supports the region’s marine businesses and supplies a wide range of core boat products.
“We are extremely excited and proud of our new Seattle West Marine,” said Lynn Gambrell, Store Manager. “The new store is almost twice the size of our old location and will provide our customers with more sailing products than ever before, allowing us to better equip, train and inspire sailors of all types.”
The public was invited to celebrate the grand opening of the new venue, 1400 NW 45th Street Seattle, WA 98107, on 7-8 p.m. December from kl. 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
During the day, visitors were able to check out the two-story store while attending giveaways, learning from seminars and getting in touch with on-site vendors. Guests also enjoyed free refreshments and live music.
The fun was not limited to adult customers, there was a BlueFuture Kids Zone with activities for kids including knot tying and puzzles.

The grand opening also took place during the West Marines holiday campaign, and a percentage of today’s sales were donated to the Corinthian Yacht Club in Seattle, Sail Sand Point and the West Marines BlueFuture program.
